Kwon Nara expresses her desire to be reborn as Cha Eunwoo
Cha Eunwoo was popular even before his debut, thanks to his visuals. During his school days, he consistently ranked third in his class and was even the class president. A person claiming to be Cha Eunwoo’s middle school classmate confirmed that he was already a celebrity at school.
Cha Eunwoo’s past during his high school days at Hanlim Arts School was also revealed on several TV shows. Actor Nam Yoon-su mentioned, “Even during high school, he did modeling, so a lot of girls had a crush on him.” He also revealed that Cha Eunwoo’s popularity waned a bit during his senior year because he transferred to his school. Nam Yoon-su remarked, “He transferred to my school, but even I could see that he had a certain halo effect.”
Actress Park Yoo-na also shared a story on “Happy Together 4,” saying, “He was just famous.” She talked about how he was already known as a good-looking trainee. Pentagon’s Kino added, “It wasn’t a joke. He had this height, this good looks, and when he was walking, the girls were like, ‘Wow.’ He was always at the top of his class academically, and he was always out and about. Cha Eunwoo is really handsome without makeup.”

During his middle school days, Cha Eunwoo was so dedicated to his studies that he spent the entire week at an academy, coming home at 11 PM every day. According to him, the most daring thing he did during his school days was secretly going to watch a late-night movie without his parents knowing. As a trainee, his biggest rebellion was sneaking into an internet cafe when the manager wasn’t looking.
In his third year of middle school, he received a casting offer from Fantagio’s manager during a school festival. However, Cha Eunwoo’s parents initially opposed the idea because he was doing so well in his studies.
It took a year of persistent persuasion by the casting director to convince his parents, and he eventually became a trainee, changing his career path from academics to entertainment.
When asked if he had any regrets about giving up his studies, he said that he couldn’t be certain whether he would be happier now or not, but he has no regrets.
Cha Eunwoo is an alumnus of Hanlim Arts High School, majoring in the Entertainment Department. Even before his debut, he gained recognition as a handsome student at Hanlim. During his debut in ASTRO, he had a chubby face, quite different from his current appearance.
However, as he underwent a diet and his facial features became more defined, he began to gain recognition for his good looks starting from ASTRO’s second mini-album activities. He also started to be called a “face genius” around this time. When he appeared on a variety show in 2018, Lee Kyung-kyu praised Cha Eunwoo’s appearance, saying, “I heard he’s nicknamed a face genius, and when I saw him in person, he really is a genius. He’s the Einstein of faces.”
After graduating from middle school, Cha Eunwoo entered Hanlim Arts High School and gained admission to Sungkyunkwan University through the rolling admission process. Cha Eunwoo was diligent in attending school, and there are many sightings of him during his school days.
Currently, he is active as an actor. He made his debut in 2015 in a web drama. Following a supporting role in “My ID is Gangnam Beauty,” he took on lead roles in various dramas such as “True Beauty,” and “Island.” He is currently starring in “A Good Day to Be a Dog” alongside Park Kyu-young.
