“Castaway Diva” ep 2 records 5.2% “Park Eun-bin sings ‘Someday’ with clear voice”

tvN’s new Saturday-Sunday drama “Castaway Diva” (written by Park Hye-ryun, Eun Yeol, directed by Oh Choong-hwan) was broadcast on Oct 29th. According to the viewership rating research company Nielsen Korea, the rating for that day averaged 5.2% nationwide.

The drama showed a steep upward trend. “Castaway Diva” recorded a viewership rating in the 5% range within just 2 episodes. This was a 2.0% increase from the previous episode, which had an average nationwide rating of 3.2%.

Episode 2 depicted the story of Seo Mok-ha (Park Eun-bin), who escaped from the deserted island after 15 years. While chasing a drone that she had seen for the first time in her life, she encountered reporter Kang Woo-hak (Cha Hak-yeon).

With Kang Woo-hak’s help, she managed to escape from the island. She also met her longtime idol Yoon Ran-joo (Kim Hyo-jin). She received a proposal to become an impersonator singer from the manager and sang backstage.

Park Eun-bin’s clear voice shone. Park Eun-bin sang “Someday” in her role as Seo Mok-ha. Her smooth high notes and appealing vocals elevated the drama’s overall quality.

Meanwhile, “Castaway Diva” revolves around Seo Mok-ha, a girl who dreams of becoming a diva. She wins a UCC competition and goes to Seoul to take an audition, but gets stranded on an uninhabited island due to an unfortunate accident and returns to the world after 15 years. It airs every Saturday and Sunday.
