The lyricist who discovered IU, Jang Na Ra and wrote Park Myung Soo’s hit song ‘Prince of the Sea’ passed away

Former CEO of IU, Jang Na Ra, Ha Ha, and Park Myung Soo recently passed away.

On March 6th, Newsen reported that Lim Yong Soo, who was a management CEO of LOEN Entertainment, passed away on the 5th.

According to reports, Lim was in charge of producing and managing the singing activities of Jang Na Ra from the late 1990s to the early 2000s.

Ha Ha and Park Myung Soo were also under his management. In particular, Lim used to be the CEO of LOEN Entertainment, who helped IU become successful and gain popularity.

Lim was also famous as a lyricist for Park Myung Soo’s famous song “Prince of the Sea”. Although the song did not receive much attention when it was first released, it later attracted listeners and has been played every summer. 

When “Prince of the Sea” was introduced on MBC’s “Infinite Challenge” in 2007, it even climbed backwards on music charts. 

The funeral of the deceased is set up in the VIP room of Dongguk University Hospital in Ilsan, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do. The funeral procession will be held at 9 a.m. on the 7th.
