On March 6, the South China Morning Post reported that after conducting DNA tests, the police confirmed that the remains found in the ground floor apartment of a 3-story house in Lung Mei Tsuen, Tai Po, Hong Kong (China) were Abby Choi’s bones, including a skull found in a pot of soup and feet hidden inside a refrigerator.

While the aforementioned remains have been found and DNA tested, police officers are still searching for other remains (hands and torso) of Abby Choi at suspected locations.

Earlier, in an interview with HK01, the police revealed that Abby Choi’s ex-husband and in-laws had stubbornly refused to disclose the location where her body was dumped, causing a lot of difficulties for their investigation.

Since last week, more than 100 police officers, including mobile units, key search teams and regional crime teams, have been mobilized and concentrated on searching at a landfill site in Ta Kwu Ling (Hong Kong, China) to conduct an investigation, but no results were obtained.

On March 2, NextApple reported that if the remaining body parts of Abby Choi and convincing evidence were still not found, the police would have difficulty convicting the murder suspects. At the same time, the murder charges against Abby Choi’s ex-husband and in-laws may be reduced to manslaughter, and their punishment would also be much lighter than a life sentence. This is what makes the public extremely angry.

As of now, a total of 6 suspects have been arrested in the murder case of Abby Choi. The identities of the suspects have been announced as Kwong Kau (65 years old, retired police officer, victim’s ex-father-in-law), Anthony Kwong (31 years old, driver, victim’s ex-brother-in-law), Alex Kwong (28 years old, unemployed, victim’s ex-husband), Jenny Li (63 years old, retired, victim’s ex-mother-in-law).

The final suspect is Lin (41 years old), a yacht company employee who is believed to have assisted Abby Choi’s ex-husband in escaping. He has just been released on bail by the police but is prohibited from leaving the country, cannot move from his residence and must report to the police twice a week.
