“The Glory” Cha Joo Young said she’s happy to be called “stewardess Hye Jeong”

On February 27th, the magazine Star1 released a pictorial of Cha Joo Young, who assumes the role of “stewardess Hye Jeong” in Netflix’s hit drama “The Glory“. Choi Hye Jeong, her character, is a swallow woman born to a laundromat family, who sought nothing but wealth and luxury. 

Among the published photos, one shows Cha Joo Young staring at the camera while wearing a colorful patterned dress. The splendid outfit, which is reminiscent of spring, serves to amplify Cha Joo Young’s urban and trendy charm.

In another photo, the actress can be seen posing in a pink suit, drawing attention with her perfect body and long legs.

Meanwhile, in the interview that followed the photo shoot, Cha Joo Young expressed her feelings about the sensational popularity of “The Glory” by saying, “I always feel grateful.”

“It was really difficult because (filming the drama) consumed me mentally, but all the actors on set put their lives and will into it,” Cha Joo Young revealed, adding, “Part 2 of ‘The Glory’ is even better.”

Afterwards, Cha Joo Young mentioned that she often paid attention to overall details such as hair, makeup, and clothes, all to complete the character of Choi Hye Jeong. For instance, Choi Hye Jeong’s “permed hair” and flight attendant uniform were all her ideas, showing the deep immersion Cha Joo Young has for her character. “I was nervous not to miss a single small detail, and I gave a lot of opinions”, said the actress.

After “The Glory”, Cha Joo Young enjoyed huge popularity and recognition from the public. In fact, when asked to select her favorite nickname, the actress immediately chose “stewardess Hye Jeong”, saying, “Everyone calls me that.” She also expressed how delighted she felt.
