Regarding her character Kyung Ran, Ahn So Yo said, “After hearing the director explain the story of Kyung Ran, I felt heartbroken. I thought that I had to express this character with sincerity, and from the beginning to the end, I tried to deeply understand Kyung Ran.” In particular, she received compliments for her detailed portrayal of Kyung Ran, who looks tired when Park Yeon Jin yells at her and shows a meaningful smile when seeing blood on Park Yeon Jin’s clothes. In this regard, the actress said, “The director asked me to make a somewhat scary expression in a meaningful way, so I naturally immersed myself into the atmosphere and acted naturally.”

As much as An So Yo’s affection for her character Kyung Ran in “The Glory”, the actress also felt heartbroken for ‘other Kyung Rans’ in real life. She shared, “School violence has been a serious issue on news. Some victims may find it difficult to even watch ‘The Glory’. When I played Kyung Ran, I thought that there are friends like Dong Eun and Kyung Ran in real life. I hoped that they could find comfort in my performance.”
