Lim Ji Yeon expressed her satisfaction with viewers’ reaction that junior actress Shin Ye Eun resembles her.
On March 17th, Lim Ji Yeon had an interview with Wikitree at a cafe in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and told various stories about Netflix’s original series “The Glory”.
“The Glory” depicts the ruthless revenge plan carefully prepared by a woman whose soul was broken by the school violence experience during her childhood.
In this drama, Lim Ji Yeon played the role of Park Yeon Jin, a weathercaster and a school violence perpetrator who gave Moon Dong Eun (Song Hye Kyo) wounds that are more painful than nightmares.
In particular, the childhood of Yeon Jin was portrayed by Shin Ye Eun. This rising young actress caught the eyes of drama fans by boating high synchronization with Lim Ji Yeon.
Regarding this, Lim Ji Yeon said, “When I met Ye Eun during the script reading of ‘The Glory’, I was amazed that our tones were very similar. I listened carefully to her words and tried to follow Ye Eun’s tone. We portrayed the same character so I had to maintain connections with the child actress. However, our tones were already too similar.”
Revealing that they both recognized the similarities in their voices and dialogue tones, Lim Ji Yeon smiled and shared, “Ye Eun shyly told me, ‘I think I resemble you. We can just go with it’. I didn’t expect that we would resemble each other in appearance. I’m thankful that we even have this connection.”
She also emphasized, “I am actually grateful to hear people comment that Ye Eun and I resemble each other.”
