1. The movie “Marionette”

3. The movie “The Witch”

The movie “The Witch” (released in June 2018) is a work that made Kim Da Mi’s name known to the public in earnest. The movie “The Witch” was directed by Park Hoon Jung, who directed “New World” and “The Tiger: An Old Hunter’s Tale”. Kim Da Mi was cast as the main character Koo Ja Yoon after coming through a competition of 1500 to 1.

Kim Da Mi, who played Koo Ja Yoon, also won 14 awards, including the 2018 Buil Film Awards (Best New Actress), the 55th Grand Bell Awards (Best New Actress) and the 39th Blue Dragon Film Awards (Best New Actress).

4. The drama “Itaewon Class”

JTBC’s “Itaewon Class”, which aired from January 31th to March 21th, 2020, is the first drama starring Kim Da Mi. In “Itaewon Class”, Kim Da Mi played Jo Yi Seo, a genius sociopath who is good at everything.

Kim Da Mi, who played Jo Yi Seo, won “Best New Actress – Television” at the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards, beating Jeon Mi Do (Hospital Playlist), Jeon Yeo Bin (Be Melodramatic), Jung Ji So (The Cursed) and Han So Hee (The World of the Married).

5. The drama “Our Beloved Summer”

Kim Da Mi played Kook Yeon Soo in SBS’ drama “Our Beloved Summer”, which aired from December 6th, 2021 to January 25th, 2022.

The drama “Our Beloved Summer” is a coming-of-age story about a former couple who are forced to come together again when a documentary they shot in high school goes viral.

The highest ratings of “Our Beloved Summer” were 5.3% (nationwide) and 5.9% (metropolitan area) based on Nielsen Korea, but on Netflix, it ranked 9th in the global TV series daily TOP10 and 4th in the non-English TV series weekly TOP10. In the Korean TV series category, it achieved the first place in the first quarter of 2022.

Leading actors Kim Da Mi and Choi Woo Sik jointly won “Director’s Award’ at the 2021 SBS Drama Awards.

6. The movie “The Witch: Part 2. The Other One”

The movie “The Witch 2” released in 2022 is a sequel to “The Witch” released in 2018. However, Kim Da Mi, who played Koo Ja Yoon, only made a special appearance in the latter half.

“The Witch 2” depicts what happens when different forces, for different purposes, pursue the “girl” (Shin Si Ah) who survived alone in a devastated secret research institute.

Appearing at the end of the movie, Koo Ja Yoon revealed herself as the girl’s older sister and suggested “Let’s go find our mother together”, heralding “The Witch 3”.

7. The movie “Soulmate”

The movie “Soulmate”, which was released on March 15th, is a remake of the Chinese movie with the same name (released in 2017).

The movie “Soulmate” deals with the essence of human relationships through 14 years of meeting and parting, friendship and love, longing and jealousy between two friends who first met at the age of 13.

In the movie “Soulmate”, Kim Da Mi played Mi So, who transfers to Jeju Island because of her mother. Here, she meets Ha Eun (Jeon So Nee) and Jin Woo (Byeon Woo Seok) and they become friends.

8. Netflix’s “The Great Flood”

Kim Da Mi’s Netflix original film “The Great Flood” is about to be released. “The Great Flood” is an SF disaster film. Set on the last day when a great flood hit the Earth, it tells the story of people fighting in a flooded apartment with the last hope to survive.

In the movie “The Great Flood”, Kim Da Mi plays Anna, a researcher who develops AI to save mankind, and Park Hae Soo plays Hee Jo, who struggles to rescue Anna from the great flood.
