The entirety of BLACKPINK’s discography made a cameo in the teaser for MV “Shut Down”

“Shut Down” MV teaser showcased the group’s individual trademark through each reel.

On September 13th (local time), BLACKPINK officially released the teaser for their anticipated MV “Shut Down” on their official YouTube channel. Wrapped neatly in 23 seconds, their teaser soon became widespread globally with more than 7 million views at present.

Through the dramatic but captivating violin sound of the “La Campanella” by Italian musician Niccolò Paganini, signs and images of the group’s previous music releases dotted the walls in the MV teaser. Viewers could not help but be in awe as to how carefully installed these song names were. BLACKPINK emerged through plastered and neon signs floating around. The names appeared and captured were “Boombayah”, “Playing With Fire”, “DDU-DU DDU-DU”, “As If It’s Your Last”. Even the solo releases were included such as “Lalisa”, “Solo” and “Gone”.

Unlike their previous music works, the members appeared clearly and markedly through the montages of the teaser. Rosé was seen driving a convertible, radiating a free-spirited energy. While Jennie boasted her stylish and strong aura in a dark shirt, Jisoo emerged looking sexy and unique. Last but not least, Lisa hid behind a black mask, performing a bold end by pointing a gun finger, cutting off the teaser with a bang. The whole sequence proceeded on a mysterious tune, synergized with a powerful voice with Rosé singing “Watching me shut it down”. The teaser created a strong impression on watchers in merely 23 seconds.
