The End Of Ryu Jun-yeol And Hyeri’s 7-year Love Story Leaves Great Regrets

It is regrettable that Ryu Jun-yeol and Hyeri broke up after dating for 7 years

Ryu Jun-yeol and Hyeri’s love story, which failed in the drama but came true in real life, eventually ended after 7 years.

On November 13th, Ryu Jun-yeol and Hyeri’s agencies told OSEN, “It is true that the two have broken up”. Regarding the reason and timing of their breakup, the agencies said, “It is difficult to confirm the information because it’s the artists’ private life.”

Ryu Jun-yeol and Hyeri received enthusiastic support from netizens when they achieved love in real life after a failed romance in drama. The two appeared in tvN’s 2016 series “Reply 1988” as Jung-hwan and Deok-sun.

At the time “Reply 1988” was on air, all the viewers enjoyed searching for Deok-sun’s husband. Candidates for Deok-sun’s husband were Jung-hwan (Ryu Jun-yeol) and Choi Taek (Park Bo-gum). Divided into “Eo-nam-Ryu (the husband is Ryu Jun-yeol anyway)” and “Eo-nam-Taek (the husband is Choi Taek anyway), fans tried to look for hints in the drama to argue why Jung-hwan or Choi Taek would be Deok-sun’s husband.

At the end of the drama, Deok-sun’s husband turns out to be Choi Taek. Although “Eo-nam-Taek” won in the drama, “Eo-nam-Ryu” side also received huge support because of Jung-hwan and Deok-sun’s sweet moments.

However, Ryu Jun-yeol was actually the winner in real life. As Ryu Jun-yeol and Hyeri developed into real lovers after the drama ended despite their large age gap of 8 years, people switched to “Eo-nam-Ryu”. The two publicized their romantic relationship in August 2017 and continued dating openly for 7 years.

Since the two actors did not often appear in public together, breakup rumors also emerged. Rather than getting angry at rumors, the two became more cautious. Later when they were spotted dating, breakup rumors gradually cooled down.

In fact, Ryu Jun-yeol and Hyeri still performed amazing chemistry with their co-stars even when they were still in a relationship. Ryu Jun-yeol was a strong supporter of Hyeri when she decided to stop her idol career and turn to acting. In an interview, Hyeri confessed, “He (Ryu Jun-yeol) monitored all the episodes. I felt so thankful for that.”

After overcoming breakup rumors, Ryu Jun-yeol and Hyeri were witnessed dating at a cafe together on Hyeri’s birthday and spending their leisure time on Cheongdam-dong Street. As they had been dating for 7 years, many fans believed that “marriage would only be a matter of time”. Eventually, the two parted ways and decided to remain good colleagues of each other.

Meanwhile, the second part of the movie “Alienoid” starring Ryu Jun-yeol will premiere soon. Hyeri has also selected the film “Victory” as her next acting project.
