Ryu Jun Yeol and Hyeri Break Up after 7 Years – Former ‘Reply 1988’ Couple Now Supportive Colleagues

Ryu Jun Yeol and Hyeri’s 7-year relationship has come to an end 

According to News1 on November 13th, Ryu Jun Yeol and Hyeri recently called it quits after much consideration, choosing to remain supportive colleagues. 

As a couple who garnered love for a long time, having been the beloved pair from the drama ‘Reply 1988,’ their extended dating period drew much support from the public. 

Ryu Jun Yeol and Hyeri formed a connection while working together in the tvN drama ‘Reply 1988,’ which ended in January 2016. They decided to break up as a couple but continue supporting each other. 

‘Reply 1988,’ a lively and comedic family drama set in 1988, achieved nationwide popularity and recorded a highest viewership rating of 18.8%.

In ‘Reply 1988,’ Hyeri played Sung Deok Sun, while Ryu Jun Yeol portrayed Kim Jung Hwan. Although their characters didn’t end up a couple on the screen, they became a real-life couple after the drama. 

After publicly acknowledging their relationship in August 2017, they continued to receive widespread support as an official couple in the entertainment industry.

Meanwhile, Ryu Jun Yeol is gearing up for the release of the movie ‘Alienoid Part 2’ in January next year, while Hyeri has chosen the film ‘Victory’ as her next project.
