Jang Gyu-ri made her official debut after 11 months of training, drawing surprise. After making a difficult debut with fromis_9, she recently left the group and is on her way to a new start!
SBS’ Monday-Tuesday drama “Cheer Up” proved its upward trend by ranking No. 1 among Monday-Tuesday drama from October 3rd to October 9th, 2022.
On top of that, the passionate cheering stage centered on Han Ji-hyun, Bae In-hyuk, Kim Hyun-jin, and Jang Gyu-ri in the 4th episode further raised the audience’s expectations in the series with thrilling pleasure and even intense surprise.
The production team expressed its pride, saying, “The actors spent more than six months, aside from the filming schedule, without a stand-in to practice the energetic group dance.”
On top of that, Jang Gyu-ri, who plays Tae Cho-hee, the attractive deputy leader, attracted viewers to the point where they automatically call her “cool sister”.
Tae Cho-hee showed off her girl crush charm, who does not hesitate to resolve any situation with her easy-going and cool charm, and her strong presence next to Park Jung-woo (played by Bae In-hyuk).
Jang Gyu-ri, who just started her new journey as an actress, successfully made her first major debut on a terrestrial channel by perfectly digesting Tae Cho-hee, the “coolest sister at Yeonhui University.”
Jang Gyu-ri, who left fromis_9 in July, started her career as an actor through “Cheer Up” and signed a contract with her new agency Just Entertainment in August.
Jang Gyu-ri made her debut in 2018 as a member of fromis_9 through Mnet’s girl group survival audition “Idol School” in 2017. She also appeared in Mnet’s “Produce 48,” but got eliminated in 25th place in episode 11 and returned to fromis_9.
Most surprisingly, despite her skilled trainee appearance, Jang Gyu-ri’s trainee period was only 11 months, which we can see through her appearance on broadcast.
Jang Gyu-ri returned home after ranking 1st at her school when she was studying in the U.S. and entered the Acting Department of Seoul Institute of the Arts without any preparation period, before making her debut in a year after appearing on “Idol School.”
