After behaving inappropriately during a YouTube live, Teen Top’s C.A.P. has left the group, causing a setback for the group’s scheduled comeback.

Top Media announced on May 11th, “After discussions with Teen Top members, we have decided to withdraw C.A.P. from the team as of today. Teen Top will be reorganized into a four-member group consisting of Chunji, Niel, Ricky, and Changjo.

The company added, “Once again, we deeply apologize for causing concern to many people due to C.A.P.’s reckless behavior and remarks. Our agency also takes full responsibility for this situation and promises to do our utmost in artist management.

Previously, during a personal YouTube channel live broadcast on May 8th, C.A.P. smoked a cigarette and used frequent profanity.

When fans asked him to refrain from smoking and swearing, he said, “I’m annoyed. People who didn’t even care about me before suddenly came and said, ‘Isn’t this wrong?’ It’s honestly annoying.

He also sparked controversy by saying, “I’m thinking of not making a comeback. My contract ends in July.”

Teen Top was planning to release a new album in July. In particular, this comeback was highly anticipated as it was their first full-group activity since 2020. However, controversy arose as C.A.P., the group’s leader, showed a controversial attitude towards the comeback.

As a result, Top Media quickly issued an apology statement, but after only three days, C.A.P. announced his departure, leaving fans with bitterness.

With C.A.P.’s departure and reorganization into a four-member group, the Teen Top comeback schedule had to be changed.
