“Taxi Driver 2”: Lee Je Hoon, Pyo Ye Jin are coming back, but this actress is not reprising her role

The making video of SBS’s upcoming drama “Taxi Driver 2”, one of the most anticipated dramas of 2023, has been released.

In the video, leading actors Lee Je Hoon, Kim Eui Seong, Pyo Ye Jin, Jang Hyuk Jin, Bae Yu Ram, and Shin Jae Ha, who appeared in “Taxi Driver” season 1, all appeared and had a script reading.

Lee Je Hoon, who plays Kim Do Ki, said, “I will work hard to show viewers a fun and exciting drama. Thank you for loving ‘Taxi Driver’ and allowing me to drive again.”

Kim Eui Seong, who plays Jang Seong Cheol and Pyo Ye Jin, in the role of An Go Eun, also raised viewers’ expectations, saying, “I’m really happy to be able to come back. We will be grateful if you look forward to it and show a lot of love.”

However, actress Esom, who played Kang Ha Na in season 1, is unfortunately not returning in “Taxi Driver 2”.

In “Taxi Driver” season 1, Esom played Kang Ha Na, a prosecutor. She learned about the existence of Rainbow Transportation, a taxi company with Kim Do Ki (Lee Je Hoon) and his gang. Kang Ha Na is an original drama character that does not exist in the original webtoon.

Esom discussed the schedule for her appearance in “Taxi Driver 2” last year, but she was busy filming another drama, so it is known that she, unfortunately, could not join.

Meanwhile, SBS’s drama “Taxi Driver”, which aired in 2021, gained great popularity as a story of revenge on behalf of unfair victims who are not legally protected by a taxi company called ‘Rainbow Transportation’.

Kim Eui Seong, Cha Ji Yeon, Esom, and Lee Je Hoon also won Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Top Excellence (Female), and Top Excellence (Male) at the 2021 SBS Drama Awards, respectively. “Taxi Driver 2” is scheduled to air on February 17.
