Actor Lee Sung Min reveals the secret story of his unknown days.
The production team of tvN’s entertainment program “You Quiz on the Block” (hereinafter referred to as “You Quiz”) released a preview featuring Lee Sung Min at the end of the Jan 18th broadcast.
Lee Sung Min appeared in JTBC’s Fri-Sat-Sun drama “Reborn Rich”, which ended on Dec 25th last year. In the drama, he played the role of Jin Yang Chul, the chairman of Soonyang Group.
When asked to reenact the character Jin Yang Chul, Lee Sung Min caused laughter by digesting the line “‘You Quiz’, does it make money?” in Jin Yang Chul’s unique tone. He then fell while performing the car crash scene in the drama with MCs Yoo Jae Suk and Jo Se Ho.
Lee Sung Min said, “I’m called by my character’s name a lot. When I went to the hospital during ‘Golden Time’, doctors showed me an MRI scan and said, ‘Of course, as you can see…’“
He also revealed the secret story of his theater days. Yoo Jae Suk asked, “I heard that you worked in a theater troupe for more than 10 years and you used to cry because you were really hungry when you were unknown.“
Lee Sung Min replied, “I cried because I was hungry and sad. I remember taking my children who wanted to eat meat to a Grilled Thin Pork Belly restaurant and feeding them. I felt bad.“
Meanwhile, Lee Sung Min’s next works, including the movie “The Devil’s Deal” (director Lee Won Tae) and the movie “Seoul Spring” (director Kim Sung Soo), are about to be released.
