On January 16, former T-Ara member Areum published several photos on SNS with her new boyfriend, along with the caption, “Yesterday was the 100th day since we met! It’s a bit late, but here we are posting about it now.”
She continued, “I wonder how I could love someone so much in just 100 days, but it seems like this will be the most special love forever. I’m always grateful to the heavens for bringing you into my life, my match made in heaven.”
Areum also expressed her gratitude and love publicly, stating, “My love, who heals all the wounds I’ve received. I’m truly grateful. Thank you for being born. The greatest strength that love gives is probably the power to keep living. Thank you always, I love you, my dear! It has already passed, but congratulations on our 100 days anniversary.”
On the other hand, Areum announced her divorce in December 2023, at the same time revealing her plans for remarriage with a new boyfriend.
Since then, various speculations arose regarding the former female idol’s fiancé. Particularly, in an online community, there was a post alleging that Areum’s new husband had a criminal record related to fraud and sexual offenses. The post also claimed that when his lies were exposed, he threatened to take extreme measures and even appeared with panic disorder when arrested.
Meanwhile, Areum got married to a businessman two years her senior in 2019, giving birth to her first son the following year. After revealing her marital struggles on TV in 2022, she overcame the crisis and gave birth to her second child in December of the same year.
