Are Artists’ Drug Accusations A Cover For Political Misdeeds?

Over the past half month, Korean media has revolved around the issue of artists using drugs

What’s interesting is that the time the artists were accused coincided with many political scandals.

Corruption scandal:

It was rumored that Korean President Yoon Seok-ryul and his wife Kim Geon-hee this year spent about 24.9 billion won on foreign trips, and they also took an additional 32.9 billion won from the national budget.

Trade deficit:

In mid-October, South Korea was ranked 200th in the trade rankings (out of 208 countries). During the term of former President Moon Jae-in, South Korea ranked 18th, North Korea ranked 108th. South Korea’s trade balance hit an all-time low.

Allegations of violence:

At the end of October, First Lady Kim Geon-hee’s friend (president of an event planning company) was accused of using force/violence against a child of a high-ranking civil servant.

On October 26, Korean police suddenly accused G-Dragon of using drugs. It is worth mentioning that the police only relied on the testimony of one witness without any evidence to prove it. This incident alone was reported by more than 160,000 articles.
