Suspect involved in Lee Sun-kyun and G-Dragon’s drug case admitted to drug use allegations
Another suspect involved in the drug case that actor Lee Sun-kyun and singer G-Dragon are linked to admitted to drug use allegations
According to the police and legal circles on Nov 2nd, the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency’s Drug Crime Investigation Unit summoned A (26, female), an adult entertainment establishment employee, for questioning on charges of using psychotropic drugs under the Narcotics Control Act.
A is accused of using Philopon along with B (29, female), the head of an adult entertainment place in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, this year. A is one of the five suspects who were charged with the drug case involving celebrities last month and attended the police investigation for the first time on Nov 2nd.
B, who worked at a so-called “membership room salon” that targeted high-income customers, was already arrested on charges of drug use and sent to the prosecution. She is also accused of using various types of drugs, including marijuana, at her home along with Lee Sun-kyun. She was also accused of extorting 350 million won from Lee Sun-kyun through drug-related threats.
A is known to have links to figures including chaebol family’s third-generation Hwang Hana, who is investigated (internal investigation) before being booked in relation to this case. The police reportedly questioned A intensively about her relationship with individuals connected to the internal investigation.
The police also asked A if she had witnessed individuals using drugs, but she did not provide specific statements regarding that. However, she admitted to the charge of using Philopon with B.
Previously, in mid-September, the police booked 5 people, including Lee Sun-kyun and Kwon Ji-yong, after confirming information that drugs were being distributed at an adult entertainment place in Gangnam, Seoul. 5 people, including Hwang Hana, a broadcaster turned songwriter and an aspiring singer, are under internal investigation on suspicion of drug use.
Actor Lee Sun-kyun, who was previously briefly questioned and only received a preliminary drug test on the first summons on Oct 28th, is set to return to the police station for further questioning on Nov 4th. Kwon Ji-yong will undergo his first questioning on Nov 6th.
