Sunmi apologizes to Kim Shin-young after 17 years “I was very reserved when I just debuted”

Singer Sunmi appeared as a guest on the October 25th broadcast of “Kim Shin-young’s Noon Song of Hope”.

Sunmi released her 8th digital single “STRANGER” on October 17th.

Sunmi received a voice message from Sandara Park, who said, “I know you’re more of a homebody than I am, but maybe we can get closer in about 2 years. Let’s be friends.”

Sunmi confessed that she had already read this message. Kim Shin-young asked, “Are both of you ‘I’ (introverts), not extroverts?” To this, Sunmi revealed that her MBTI is INFP and Sandara Park’s is INFJ. Sunmi expressed that she is the most extroverted within the “I” category, explaining that she takes the lead in creating content videos at her company because many people there are shy and not used to group activities. She said, “I feel like I need to set the atmosphere.

Kim Shin-young confessed that she had a hard time filming with Ahn So-hee and Sunmi in the past because they were very reserved. She also mentioned that she watched a recent video of the two and felt proud seeing them chat endlessly.

Sunmi then took the opportunity to apologize to Kim Shin-young, “Sis, I want to apologize now.” In response, Kim Shin-young was very understanding, saying, “I completely understand. Back then, you had very hectic schedules, and you were in middle school, so it’s natural.

Sunmi reiterated her apology, “Sis, using this opportunity, I want to apologize after 17 years since my debut.” Kim Shin-young assured her that she understands because she’s also introverted. They both acknowledged being very introverted people.

They also shared some amusing memories of frequently running into each other in broadcasting stations’ restrooms. Sunmi confessed that she often writes lyrics in the restroom.

On the topic of J.Y. Park’s aegyo, Sunmi was asked to describe it in 5 letters. She responded with “싫어요 정말 (I really dislike it)“.

Then, when Kim Shin-young suggested sending a voice message to J.Y. Park, Sunmi said “Despite being 51 years old, you still perform energetically on stage more than anyone else. It’s been a great inspiration to me. However, I’d like you to tone down your aegyo a bit“, causing laughter.
