Spine-Chilling Account of a Female VVIP Guest at Burning Sun: One Second of Carelessness Could Lead to the “Rape Drug Trap”

"Eccentric, debauched, and beyond imagination" is how this model described Burning Sun after being a VVIP guest at the club.

The Burning Sun case involving Seungri and his friends Jung Joon Young and Choi Jong Hoon is cuteness a hot topic following the release of the BBC documentary “Burning Sun: Exposing the Secret K-pop Chat Groups.” The documentary not only re-exposes the crimes of these fallen K-pop idols but also reveals the methods of coercion and sexual assault used against women at the club owned by Seungri.

However, according to Zheng Jinlin, a model and YouTuber from Hong Kong, what was shown in the BBC documentary is just a glimpse of the depravity and danger inside Burning Sun.

“I got chills watching the documentary ‘Burning Sun: Exposing the Secret K-pop Chat Groups.’ But I got even more chills remembering my horrific experience at Burning Sun. The distance between me and the date rape drug they used to hunt women was just inches. What BBC showed is just a part of the debauchery and eccentricity I witnessed at Burning Sun. Everything inside was beyond my imagination,” shared Zheng Jinlin.

Zheng Jinlin revealed that she visited Burning Sun in 2018. Since her best friend’s ex-boyfriend had business connections with Seungri, Zheng Jinlin had the opportunity to be a VVIP guest at the bar. This allowed her to witness the ultimate debauchery inside Burning Sun.

According to Zheng Jinlin, when she went to Burning Sun, Seungri was present and performed as a DJ. Inside the nightclub, people opened champagne, lit fireworks, and continuously threw napkins in the air to create a frenzied atmosphere with Seungri.

This was a special feature of Burning Sun. The guests around her all wore sunglasses, swaying to the booming music and dazzling lights. Through her observations, Zheng Jinlin learned that most of Burning Sun’s guests abused stimulants. To avoid scaring first-time visitors with their dilated eyes, they would wear sunglasses.

Notably, Zheng Jinlin mentioned that she and her friend only drank one glass of champagne each while passing through two VVIP areas. However, they quickly felt intoxicated and their consciousness gradually slipped into a haze.

Having previously heard warnings from her friend’s ex-boyfriend about women being drugged at Burning Sun, Zheng Jinlin and her friend hurriedly left. Once outside, it took them some time to regain their clarity. Later, Zheng Jinlin discovered that her wallet, containing her ID and credit cards, had been stolen without her realizing it at Burning Sun.

“My friend and I both wondered if we had been drugged. Normally, one glass of champagne wouldn’t make us so drunk and dazed. The methods are truly frightening and sophisticated. Afterward, I learned that just one second of carelessness could trap you, as the so-called ‘date rape drugs’ could also be mixed into snacks. Honestly, you have no idea who or what to guard against and what could happen to you at Burning Sun. Once you step into the bar, you are a fish in a tank surrounded by predators. I think I was lucky that day. After what I witnessed and experienced, I never went to Burning Sun again; it was truly terrifying,” Zheng Jinlin shared.

Burning Sun was one of the most luxurious nightclubs in the wealthy Gangnam district of South Korea, opened by Seungri and his partners. In 2019, it was exposed as an entertainme venue rife with illegal activities such as filming without consent (molka), drug abuse, sexual violence, prostitution, and drugging women for sexual assault.

Despite committing such horrifying crimes, Seungri received only a 1 year and 6 months prison sentence. After being released in February, Seungri continues to travel and party abroad.
