A supervisor involved in Song Mino’s military service management has denied allegations of prior collusion in the ongoing case surrounding the WINNER member’s alleged violation of South Korea’s Military Service Act.

On May 21, a hearing related to the Military Service Act violation charges against supervisor A took place at the Seoul Western District Court Criminal Division 10.

Supervisor A was indicted on charges of negligence in managing and supervising Song Mino’s alternative military service duties.

During the hearing, the court questioned A regarding Song Mino’s attendance management process, including whether there had been any prior conspiracy or role-sharing arrangement between the two parties.

While A acknowledged that there had been improper handling during the attendance management process, the supervisor denied accusations of prior collusion or coordinated involvement.

A also requested that Song Mino be called as a witness in the case. The court responded that it would review the request after formally receiving the application.

Song Mino served as a public service worker at the Mapo District Facilities Management Corporation from March 2023 to December 2024 as part of his alternative military service. However, he has been accused of violating the Military Service Act by allegedly failing to properly report to work on multiple occasions.

At the first hearing held on April 21, prosecutors requested a prison sentence of one year and six months for the idol.

The prosecution argued, “It appears he effectively did not fulfill his service duties due to repeated unauthorized absences and falsely explained the situation to the supervising authorities.”

During his final statement at the time, Song Mino apologized, saying, “I want to sincerely apologize to everyone. I am currently receiving treatment diligently for panic disorder.”

He continued, “If I recover my health and am given another opportunity to serve again, I want to complete my duties faithfully until the very end.”
