According to OSEN’s report on January 18th, Song Joongki is in the process of preparing for his return with the new drama ‘My Youth’ (working title), which is being produced by his current agency.
‘My Youth’ is a new work written by Park Si-hyun, the writer of JTBC’s ‘Run On,’ which ended in 2021. Song Joongki’s agency is participating in the production from the planning stage. The drama’s title may change in the future.
Notably, ‘My Youth’ is Song Joongki’s first project since becoming a father last year, raising expectations about what kind of performance he will showcase, as he always displays a new side of himself on the screen.
Earlier, Song Joongki achieved a viewership rating of 26.9% nationwide for his role as Jin Dojoon in JTBC’s hit drama ‘Reborn Rich,’ which aired in 2022.
Afterward, he attracted attention by starring in the movie ‘Hopeless’ without pay. ‘Hopeless’ was officially invited to the 76th Cannes Film Festival, and the lead actors experienced the honor of walking the red carpet at Cannes for the first time in their lives.
