Song Joong Ki: “I discovered a look that even I saw for the first time while facing Lee Sung Min”

Song Joong Ki and Lee Sung Min, two leading actors of JTBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama “Reborn Rich,” recently had a photo shoot with fashion magazine Elle.
With the two actors’ sharp charisma that is fueled by their confrontation in the drama, the pictorial captures the actors’ original chemistry and partnership. Song Joong Ki and Lee Sung Min were praised by the staff for their unique harmony and aura despite just sitting side by side in front of the camera.
In an interview following the photo shoot, Lee Sung Min and Song Joong Ki expressed their feelings about each other.
Song Joong Ki played the roles of Yoon Hyun Woo, a secretary who manages the owner risk of a conglomerate family, and Jin Do Jun, the youngest son of that family who Yoon comes back to life as. Asked how he felt about appearing in “Reborn Rich,” Song Joong Ki said, “The writer Kim Tae Hee, who wrote the work, was a big reason for me. After that, the fact that actor Lee Sung Min joined the team also played a big role. There are so many actors of my age who want to act with him. I am also one of them, and I was genuinely excited while acting together with him. There are many times when I discovered new faces of mine that I have never known before while facing him,” he confessed.
Lee Sung Min, who plays the role of Jin Yang Chul, chairman of the conglomerate family Sunyang Group, said, “I have received many blessings as an actor. I have really wanted to be able to work with actor Song Joong Ki someday. The fact that Song Joong Ki would appear in this work also affected me a lot when I first started working with this series. I can feel his own ease in his acting, and that always seemed cool to me.”
Also, when asked about the drama “Reborn Rich”, Lee Sung Min said, “The script is very well-written. The dialect used by Jin Yang Cheol was written surprisingly delicately. The story is also new. I wanted to approach the setting of a conglomerate in a more dignified manner, so I exchanged a lot of opinions with the director,” he said. Song Joong Ki said, “It is a fantasy genre, but I found the details where it connects the story to the keyword ‘family’ very attractive. The narrative centered on that is stable and charming,” he said, expressing his affection for the work.
