The ace of Running Man recently won 8 million won from the show and gave it all to charity.
Recently, actress Song Ji Hyo donated the 8 million won prize (over 6000 USD) she received from the special 600th episode of variety show “Running Man” .
This was revealed by Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation, who thanked the actress, saying: “Song Ji Hyo donated her prize for children from low-income families in May”. The foundation is a representative organization which specializes in child protection.
In the 600th special broadcast of “Running Man”, members of the show played a game that allowed them to donate up to 10 million won under the winner’s name. As a result, Song Ji Hyo was selected to be the final winner and donated a total of 8 million won to the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation. The money will be used to help support the studies and dreams of children from low-income families.
Speaking of the donation, Lee Je Hoon, the chairman of Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation said: “We thank actress Song Ji Hyo and SBS Running Man’s cast and producers who participated in this act of sharing so that poor children can fulfill their dream ahead of the 100th anniversary of Children’s Day. The Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation will continue to do our best to create an environment where children can grow healthy and pursue their aspirations.”
