On December 20th, the press conference for the Netflix drama “The Glory” was held at JW Marriott Dongdaemun, Jongno-gu, Seoul. Director Ahn Gil Ho, writer Kim Eun Sook, and actors Song Hye Kyo, Lee Do Hyun, Lim Ji Yeon, Yeom Hye Ran, Park Sung Hoon, and Jung Sung Il attended.

“The Glory” depicts the story of desperate revenge of a woman whose soul was shattered by violence during her childhood and those who fall into the whirlwind.

“The Glory” is penned by Kim Eun Sook, who wrote “Lovers in Paris,” “Secret Garden,” and “Goblin,” and director Ahn Gil No, who directed “Stranger” and “Happiness.”

In addition, Song Hye Kyo, who worked with writer Kim Eun Sook in “Descendants of the Sun”, drew attention by challenging the revenge genre for the first time.

Song Hye Kyo appeared at an official event after a long time on this day. She stunned by wearing a white shirt with black tie and long black skirt. Her neat outfit and black hair styling maximized her elegant beauty. 

Song Hye Kyo said, “When I read the script, it was a genre and a character that I wanted to do for so long. I was so heartbroken after reading the script that I was spaced out for a while.“ Song Hye Kyo plays Moon Dong Eun, who begins to put her long-planned revenge into action.

If Song Hye Kyo has been well-known for starring in melodramas so far, it is expected that she will show a different side of herself in “The Glory”.

Song Hye Kyo also expressed satisfaction, saying, “You may feel unfamiliar with my image in this drama. It was difficult, but I really enjoyed acting in it.”
