Actress Song Hye Kyo expressed her feelings about playing the female lead of “The Glory”.
On December 20th, the press conference for Netflix’s original series “The Glory” was held at the Grand Ballroom of JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul. The cast, including Song Hye Kyo, Lee Do Hyun, Lim Ji Yeon, Yeom Hye Ran, Park Sung Hoon, Jung Sung Il, writer Kim Eun Sook and director Ahn Gil Ho attended the event.
In “The Glory”, Song Hye Kyo plays the role of Moon Dong Eun, who carries out the revenge plan she has carefully designed for a long time.
At the press conference, Song Hye Kyo said, “The first reason why I chose this work was because of the collaboration between the writer and the director. Also, while reading the script, I thought this was the genre and character that I really wanted to try. I had always desired to play a role like this, so I was glad I finally met Dong Eun.”
She continued, “My heart hurt so much and I spaced out for a while even when reading the script. I wondered how such details could happen. The writer expressed it so perfectly, so I thought if I did well, it could become a really amazing work”.
“The Glory” tells about a woman whose soul was broken after suffering violence during her childhood and those who fall into the whirlwind of the desperate revenge she prepared with all her life. It will premiere on Netflix on December 30th.
