Son Dong-pyo’s Group MIRAE Disbands 3 Years After Debut

MIRAE, known as the group of former X1 member Son Dong-pyo, will officially disband three years after their debut

TV Report exclusively reported the news of MIRAE’s disbandment on July 9th. 

According to the media, MIRAE members recently decided to disband the team and go on their own paths. However, Son Dong-pyo will stay at DSP Media and continue his individual activities.

MIRAE debuted in March 2021 and will disband after three years of activity. After releasing the Korean version of their Japan debut song “RUNNING UP” in April, MIRAE members have been focusing on their individual activities.

Upon receiving the sudden news of the group’s disbandment, fans poured comments, such as “I hope this is not the end”.

MIRAE is a boy group consisting of seven members, including Lee Jun-hyuk, Lien, Yoo Dou-hyun, Khael, Son Dong-pyo, Park Si-young and Jang Yu-bin. After making their debut, the group completed their trilogy album with “KILLA”, “Splash” and “Marvelous”, which are about the spirit and passion of boys running toward the future. They also presented the “Boyss” series with “Ourturn” and “Boys will be Boys”.

Son Dong-pyo, the only member who stays in the company after MIRAE’s disbandment, participated in Mnet’s survival audition program “Produce X 101” in 2019 and successfully made his debut with the group X1.

Meanwhile, the girl group Weki Meki also announced their disbandment after seven years on June 7th. After the announcement, they released “CoinciDestiny” on the 12th as their last song before disbanding.
