SNSD’s Taeyeon tops the ranking of most searched girl group members on Youtube Korea, BLACKPINK’s Lisa is not in the Top 10?
The other 3 members of BLACKPINK all made it to the Top 5, while Lisa surprised netizens with her rather low rank.
K-pop girl groups in particular and K-pop groups in general always have a huge search volume on the world’s largest video sharing platform, YouTube. Not only the groups as a whole, but each member also has their own fan base.
Recently, the ranking of Top 50 most searched girl group members on YouTube Korea in 2021 has attracted much attention online. Accordingly, first place belongs to SNSD’s Taeyeon, followed by other popular female idols in the Top 5 including BLACKPINK’s Rosé and Jennie, aespa’s Winter and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo.
Many fans find it the most surprising that BLACKPINK’s Lisa only ranks 11th place this year after her explosive solo debut. Earlier this year, Lisa became the female soloist with the most-watched MV within 24 hours after its release on YouTube and also set a GUINNESS record.
Although Lisa (BLACKPINK) had a brilliant solo, but it is undeniable that the hotness of SNSD’s leader and main vocalist – Taeyeon also had a successful comeback with MV Weekend and participated in many TV shows. Besides, Korean netizens still have discrimination against Lisa, so the maknae of BLACKPINK is not searched too much on YouTube in this country.
