SM reacted strongly to the sudden rumors of Red Velvet disbanding

On November 8th, disbandment rumors regarding Red Velvet surfaced. Recently, the group’s official Instagram account profile name was changed to ‘Happy Ending,’ leading some netizens to express concerns that this might imply a disbandment.

Red Velvet debuted in 2014 and celebrated their 9th anniversary this year. However, news of contract renewals for all members, except Seulgi, have not been confirmed. Additionally, rumors of Irene’s departure added to the fans’ worries, ultimately leading to disbandment speculations.

However, SM clarified that the change in the official account name is related to a new album concept and that disbandment rumors are entirely baseless.

All members are putting in significant effort to deliver a perfect performance ahead of their upcoming full album release.

Red Velvet will release their 3rd full album ‘Chill Kill’ on the 13th. The title track, ‘Chill Kill,’ is a bold pop dance song characterized by a daring bassline, string melodies, and lavish and dreamy synth and bell sounds.
