A recent update on Red Velvet’s SNS account makes fans fear that this is the last round of activities for this popular girl group
Recently, Red Velvet changed the name on the bio of their official Instagram account from “Red Velvet Official” to “Happy Ending”. As a result, fans are expressing concerns that this, coupled with the deletion of all highlight video clips, may be implying the end of Red Velvet.
Red Velvet, which debuted in 2014, celebrated their 9th anniversary this year. They have surpassed the “seven-year curse”, but while there has been news of member Seulgi’s contract renewal with SM Entertainment, the news of the group’s complete renewal has not been reported.
One media outlet even reported that leader Irene has not re-signed, which makes it uncertain if the group’s activities will be extended. Adding to the fear, SM has not provided a clear answer to questions regarding Red Velvet’s contract renewal status.
On the other hand, Red Velvet will make a comeback with their 3rd full-length album “Chill Kill” on November 13.
