“The Second World” unveiled its lineup of 8 participants.
Wonder Girls Yubin, former AOA member Shin Ji-min, Mamamoo Moonbyul, Oh My Girl Mimi, WJSN Exy, Momoland JooE, Billlie Moon Sua and CLASS:y Kim Seon-you, K-POP’s representative girl group rappers will start a full-fledged vocal war.
JTBC’s new entertainment program “The Second World” is a survival program that showcases vocal battles between main rappers from K-POP girl groups. Idol groups’ rappers will break the prejudice that they lack singing skills, demonstrate their vocal skills to the fullest and unfold the second world as all-round artists.
8 K-POP girl group rappers, who shake the world, will open the door to a vocal war. Songs are selected according to the theme of each round, and participants present stages as complete artists rather than group members.
As has been known, Paul Kim, an emotional vocalist called “Eardrum Boyfriend” who topped various music charts with his sweet voice, will appear as a guide to lead “The Second World”. In addition, Korea’s strongest vocalist corps including Kim Bum-soo, Jungyup, Jung Eun-ji, Seo Eun-kwang and Kim Min-seok will appear as “Voice Reader” judges.
On August 1st, “The Second World” received an explosive response by pre-releasing the first round’s songs blindly through the Naver NOW app. As soon as the songs were released, comments guessing participants’ identities poured out. Besides, curiosity and keen interest in the cast of “The Second World” led to Global Heroes’ votes. Global Heroes actively voted for the artist who sang the most impressive song after listening to 8 artists’ songs while encouraging votes for artists on various communities.
