Seungri Continues To Take Advantage Of ‘BIGBANG’ Name, Singing “Bang Bang Bang” At Party

Ex-member Seungri, who was imprisoned in the Burning Sun Scandal, continues to promote himself under the name BIGBANG

A video showing Seungri singing BIGBANG’s “Bang Bang Bang” at a birthday party for a Malaysian rich man spread widely in online communities. Wearing a gray suit with a cap backward, he sang “Bang Bang Bang” enthusiastically. The person who filmed the video even chanted “BIGBANG” when Seungri appeared. Seungri responded to the cheers of people at the birthday party by taking pictures with them.

Earlier in January, Seungri once caused controversy when he said, “I will bring G-Dragon here someday”, at a restaurant event in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. At that time, he even danced to G-Dragon and Taeyang’s hit song “Good Boy”.

Announcing his retirement from the entertainment industry after leaving the group in 2019, Seungri said, “I make this decision to protect BIGBANG’s honor”. Unlike his words, he seems to be taking advantage of the name and fame of BIGBANG.

Making his debut as a member of BIGBANG in 2006, Seungri gained huge love from many people but gradually collapsed after creating a “Gatsby” image. In 2019, Seungri was named the key figure in the Burning Sun Scandal and was imprisoned on 9 charges, including prostitution, habitual gambling, violation of Food Sanitation Act, embezzlement, etc.

The court confirmed the 1.5-year-imprisonment sentence for Seungri in May 2022 and after the trial, Seungri, who was fulfilling military service at that time, was transferred to a civilian prison. He was released from prison in February last year.
