Seolhyun’s sundae gukbap and soju eating scene in drama “Summer Strike” receives explosive responses from viewers

The eating scene of actress Seolhyun (Kim Seol Hyun) in the new drama “Summer Strike” aroused keen interest.

Seolhyun’s delicious gukbap (rice soup) eating scene in Genie TV’s original drama “Summer Strike” is a hot topic online. 

In the recently released episode 2 of “Summer Strike”, Lee Yeo Reum (Seolhyun) visited a restaurant in a strange village to eat. 

After ordering a hot sundae gukbap, Yeo Reum saw other customers around her drinking soju. She told herself, “Don’t be so conscious of others here”, then ordered soju right away.

After having a glass of soju, Yeo Reum made a clear sound that expressed her satisfaction and exclaimed “Nice”, adding, “Who made this ‘hot and cold’ combination?”, showing her admiration for the combination of hot soup and cold soju. Yeo Reum then enjoyed her meal and daytime drinking.

The way Seolhyun perfectly portrayed the appearance of a person who knows how to eat deliciously by pouring perilla seeds powder into the sundae soup instead of rice drew viewers’ attention. Many people began to feel hungry when Yeo Reum added kimchi.

In the next scene, Yeo Reum smiled brightly and stomped her feet while eating because the food tasted so good. 

Yeo Reum, who was left alone in the restaurant, brought the soju that someone left half the bottle and the fish cake side dish then finished them all deliciously. 

Although it was a short scene in the drama, Seolhyun’s eating performance made left a great impression on viewers.

One netizen even posted, “I ate sundae rice soup for lunch after watching Seolhyun’s eating scene”, together with a proof shot.
