Yoonha won first place on Inkigayo for the first time in 15 years since 2007
Singer Younha‘s song “Event Horizon,” released in March, did the impossible by winning against two girl groups namely LE SSERAFIM and IVE on SBS’s “Inkigayo” on the 27th this month.
It is the first time in 15 years that Younha got a win at “Inkigayo” after she took the 1st place with her song “Password 486” in 2007.
The singer-songwriter took to Instagram to express overwhelming feelings to this proud victory, saying, “Every day is like a dream, a gift, and a birthday these days. First Inkigayo trophy in 15 years! From now on, I will keep steady and make good music so that I can meet you again in 15 years!”
Ahn Yujin showed off her outstanding vocal abilities with her cover of “Event Horizon”
Perhaps to pay respect to the winner of Inkigayo, Yujin released a cover video of Younha’s “Event Horizon” on her Instagram on the 27th.
In the video, Ahn Yu-jin sat in an open space looking out to the vast night sky, grabbed a microphone, and started singing. Her charming voice and live skills captivated viewers and drew listeners in to her performance. Her stable voice received much praise for she could sing the song and digest the high notes pretty well.
In addition, Ahn Yu-jin’s colorful outfits with the dim light from behind and in front of her and her hair slightly fluttering in the wind created an atmospheric video that kept viewers glued to the screen.
Her comment section was soon flooded with praise, “You sing really well,” “You look like a movie heroine,” and “I hope you sing for me forever.”
