Returning to the big screen through “Alienoid”, Kim Woo-bin shares, “It was really hard to play four roles at the same time”

Actor Kim Woo-bin expressed his feelings about playing four roles at once in “Alienoid”, his first movie comeback in six years.

On the afternoon of July 13th, a press conference for the first part of the SF fantasy action film “Alienoid” was held at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Ryu Jun-yeol (as swordman Mu-reuk), Kim Woo-bin (as Guard), Kim Tae-ri (as Lee Ahn), So Ji-sub (as detective Moon Do-seok), Yeom Jung-ah (as Heug-seol), Kim Eui-sung (as the masked man Ja-jang) and director Choi Dong-hoon attended the event.

On this day, Kim Woo-bin said, “It was really difficult when I played four characters at the same time. In order to portray four different identities, I tried to express the different energy of each one little by little.

He added, “Of course, I acted under the direction of the director but I wanted to show their traits well so that the conversation between the characters wouldn’t be boring”.

Kim Woo-bin laughed and continued, “If we actually met aliens, I would ask them to join Part 3”, adding, “I’m a curious person, so I think I will try talking to them”.

Kim Woo-bin, who returned to the big screen for the first time in 6 years since “Master”, appears in “Alienoid” as Guard, who manages and escorts alien prisoners. With his unique charisma and powerful eyes, he perfectly portrayed the fierce appearance of his character when facing the crisis caused by an alien prisoner attempting to escape from prison.

“Alienoid” tells the story that begins when the door of time opens between the swordsmen who want to acquire the legendary divine sword at the end of the Goryeo Dynasty and people who chase alien prisoners trapped inside human bodies in 2022. Choi Dong-hoon, who directed “Tazza”, “Jeon Woo-chi”, “The Thieves” and “Assassination”, took the megaphone for “Alienoid”. It will be released in theaters on July 20th.
