“Queen of Tears” Draws Admiration With Luxurious Cameos Similar To Suzy In “My Love From The Star”

Casting Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won is already a success, “Queen of Tears” even amazes viewers with their cameo lineup

On February 23rd, a drama staff said to OSEN that Song Joong-ki would make a special appearance in “Queen of Tears”. Recently, Hong Jin-kyung, Jo Se-ho, and Nam Chang-hee, who appeared in “My Love From The Star” already completed their cameo shoots for “Queen of Tears”, while Oh Jung-se, who played Kim Soo-hyun’s brother in tvN’s drama “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay”, will also greet viewers with a special role.

Scheduled to premiere on March 9th, “Queen of Tears” depicts the love story of Hong Hae-in (Kim Ji-won), a third-generation chaebol and “queen of Queen’s Department Store”, and Baek Hyun-woo (Kim Soo-hyun), son of Yongdu-ri and a “prince of supermarket” as they face crisis and start again in the third year of their marriage.

Queen of Tears

This is the new story written by writer Park Ji-eun, who raised the status of K-dramas through various successful works such as “My Love From The Star”, “The Producers”, “Crash Landing on You”, etc. Director Jang Young-woo of “Crash Landing on You” and “Bulgasal” joined hands with director Kim Hee-won of “Vincenzo” and “Little Women” to create an anticipated production team.

In addition, the cast also wowed many viewers. Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won will portray the main married couple, and their chemistry in the teaser captivates fans. Park Sung-hoon, Kwak Dong-yeon, and Lee Joo-bin joined the cast to tell various narratives. This ensemble of trustworthy actors is already arousing keen interest.

Looking at the unimaginable cameo lineup with Jo Joo-yeon, Song Joong-ki, Hong Jin-kyung, Jo Se-ho, Nam Chang-hee and Oh Jung-se, fans are wondering if more stars will appear later on. This scene happened once when “My Love From The Star” aired in 2014. Back then, Yoo In-young, Park Jung-ah, Jung Eun-pyo, Yoo Jun-sang, Ryu Seung-ryong, and Yeon Woo-jin made special appearances to add more fun to viewers’ watching experience.

Kim Soo Hyun Suzy

In particular, Suzy’s cameo role created a big stir. Suzy and Kim Soo-hyun reunited three years after KBS 2TV’s drama “Dream High” ended in 2011. In the drama, Suzy approaches Do Min-joon (Kim Soo-hyun) and exchanges phone numbers with him, stimulating Cheon Song-yi (Jeon Ji-hyun)’s jealousy.

As such, expectations for “Queen of Tears” to become a big hit are rising. Many viewers are looking forward to the main cast’s perfect chemistry, the magical romance story written by Park Ji-eun, and the special appearances of its luxurious cameo team.

Meanwhile, tvN’s new Sat-Sun drama “Queen of Tears” will premiere at 9:10 p.m. on March 9th.
