Felix’s Basic Information
While both of his parents are Korean, Felix was born in Sydney, Australia and grew up in the Seven Hills suburbs. He only returned to South Korea in 2017.
Felix was scouted by JYP Entertainment through an online message and auditioned with a freestyle dance. He joined the company on February 24, 2017, just 10 days after returning to Korea.
Felix’s Career
In 2017, Felix was officially revealed by JYP for his participation in the survival show “Stray Kids”. At the time, his roles included dancing and rapping.
In 2018, Felix debuted as a dancer and rapper of Stray Kids. He also worked as a fixed MC on the English-language program “Pops in Seoul” from 2019 to 2020.
In 2021, Felix co-wrote and released the duet song “Because” for the SKZ-RECORD series alongside fellow Stray Kids member Changbin. In 2022, he featured in “No Problem”, a song from TWICE’s Nayeon’s debut solo album “IM NAYEON”.
Since then, Felix has also released the solo song “Deep end” in the album “SKZ-REPLAY”.

Felix’s Korean name is Lee Yong-bok, which surprises many people since it’s a really traditional and soft name. Felix has one younger sister named Olivia Lee and an older sister named Rachel Lee, and he is a fluent English speaker.
Despite having a rather soft face and having a bubbly personality, Felix possesses an extremely deep and husky voice, making for a unique “reversal charm”.
He also loves to bake and would share his baked goods with fellow Stray Kids members, staff, and even idols from other groups.
In January 2024, Felix received a lot of praise for donating 100 million won to help suffering children in Laos, which makes him the youngest UNICEF Honors Club member and first member of 2024.
Health Issues + Controversy
In 2022, JYP Entertainment announced that Felix was diagnosed with disk herniation, causing him to opt out of some performances in Stray Kids’ concert. However, he did not go on a fully hiatus, and has since recovered nicely.
In the same year, Felix faced accusations of sending fans R-rated messages through the fan communication platform Bubble. As the controversy was blown up by the notorious YouTuber Sojang, however, reactions were mixed.
Later on in 2023, Felix drew criticism for making an alleged “smoker’s gesture” while on stage. However, most fans defended the male idol, especially as the “smoker’s gesture” was mere speculation.
