Kyungsung Creature confirmed the casting of Park Seo-joon and Han So-hee and has begun filming in earnest.
“Gyeongseong Creature” is a thriller drama that took place in the spring of 1945, the darkest Gyeongseong era, where two young people who were all about survival confronted a monster born out of greed. The story of those struggling at the boundary between life and death raises fundamental questions about human dignity and humanity along with thrilling catharsis. The birth of this unique creative film is to be completed by writer Kang Eun-kyung, who is absolutely supported by the public through the “Romantic Doctor” series, and director Chung Dong-yoon, who showed strong directing in the drama “Hot Stove League,” stimulating expectations.
Above all, the meeting between Park Seo-joon and Han So-hee is what makes drama fans the most excited. Park Seo-joon is predicted to have another life character as he will take on the role of the most famous wealthy man in Bukchon and the best information bank in Gyeongseong, Jang Tae-sang. Having endured evil to survive this world, he is instinctively a strong man. Jang Tae-sang has become a famous guy who dominates Bukchon with his natural quickness, insight, and unique sly affinity. After believing and following only the reality in front of him rather than justice, he becomes entangled with Han So-hee (playing as Yoon Chae-ok), who has lived a completely different life to his. Their meeting will soon stop him from what he is doing and make him start thinking about “living like a human being.”
Park Seo-joon said, “I was very interested in the time background of the Gyeongseong era. I’m happy and excited to be able to work with such a background, and to be with such a great writer, director, and staff. I will try my best to portray Jang Tae-sang,” he said, raising expectations.
Han So-hee foretells a strong transformation with Yoon Chae-ok, a famous headhunter who can find even the dead. Yoon Chae-ok has learned how to survive across Manchuria and Shanghai with her father since childhood. Having survived the disastrous and nightmare-like reality, she is not only good at handling guns and knives, but also smart enough to handle every kind of machine available. Coming to Gyeongseong to find the whereabouts of her mother, who disappeared 10 years ago, she became associated with Jang Tae-sang and faced a terrible reality while pursuing a series of mysterious disappearances.
Han So-hee said, “I am honored to greet the audience with a new look in ‘Gyeongseong Creature’ through a character which looks strong on the outside but is full of colorful and endless stories like the warmhearted Chae-ok. I will work harder to meet the great expectations you guys have for me,” she said with affection.
“Gyeongseong Creature” is scheduled to air in 2023.
