Park Myung-soo Shows Respect For IU, “She Performed Live For Over 4 Hours”
Broadcaster Park Myung-soo expressed admiration and respect for singer IU, who is 20 years younger than him
DJ Park Myung-soo spent time communicating with radio listeners on the March 4th broadcast of KBS CoolFM’s “Park Myung-soo’s Radio Show”.
That day, a listener commented, “I really enjoyed the ‘Halmyungsoo’ episode with IU. It’s a little sad that you failed to get invited to her concert”. In response, Park Myung-soo said, “It’s not a failure. I would think of it in a positive way. I think I can come and watch it if there is a chance”, drawing laughter.
In addition, Park Myung-soo shared his experience of watching IU’s concert, saying “I went to her concert yesterday and it was my first time feeling so respectful of a friend who is 20 years younger than me. She performed a concert for four and a half hours. It was hard to keep standing for such a long time and she even sang live.”
He continued, “Our country needs to protect IU. While sitting in the audience and watching the concert with Yoo Jae-suk, my arms almost broke from waving the lightstick. The lightstick was really heavy and it was hard for people in their 50s and older like us to hold it for a long time. I had to exclaim once again. I’m proud that Korea has a singer like IU”.
Earlier in 2015, IU and Park Myung-soo performed the duet song “Leon” at the Yeongdong Expressway Festival held on MBC’s “Infinite Challenge”. Since their collaboration, the two have maintained their close friendship until now and mentioned each other on various broadcasts.
