Park Min-young Faces New Scandal: Director at Shady Company Affiliated with Ex-Lover?

Park Min-young is currently the center of attention among K-drama fans after the extremely successful run of hit K-drama “Marry My Husband”. With the series’ popularity, the actress managed to regain public favor amidst personal life controversies.

However, this “public favor” turns out to be short-lived as Park Min-young immediately faces a new scandal. 

In particular, on February 21, Korean media Biz Hankook reported that Park Min-young was discovered to be a member on the board of directors for a shady construction company named One Stone.

Based on business reports, One Stone has changed its name four times, from Jijoong Tour, Biz Mall Tour to Hao Soft, and finally retaining its current name. Moreover, the nature of the company’s business activities has also changed with each name change. Initially a travel company, it is now a construction company whose operations have raised significant questions.

Additionally, One Stone’s office is located in the Gangdong district, Seoul. Biz Hankook pointed out that One Stone shares the same building with a mobile phone shop associated with Park Min-young’s controversial ex-boyfriend – businessman Kang Jong-hyun.

Since last year, Park Min-young has been continuously criticized and even boycotted by audiences due to her former boyfriend Kang Jong-hyun. In particular, the actress faced suspicions of receiving 250 million won and even allegedly aiding her wealthy boyfriend’s illicit trading activities. However, she has repeatedly denied these accusations, did not face any legal charges, and appeared for the investigation as a witness rather than an accomplice. 

Eventually, criticisms directed at Park Min-young ceased, especially as “Marry My Husband” constantly reaches new heights.

However, after the news of Park Min-young’s connection to the One Stone was revealed, public opinion quickly shifted. Korean netizens expressed their disgust, believing that the actress is not only involved in one but multiple shady activities linked to her ex-boyfriend. 

Many also questioned why Park Min-young would be involved in suspicious business establishments associated with Kang Jong-hyun, despite being an A-list actress that get paid well in the Korean showbiz industry.
