Park Eun Bin refused to play Woo Young Woo multiple times, director waited a year for her acceptance

It was not easy to cast actress Park Eun Bin for hit drama series “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”

Seasoned K-drama fans are likely familiar with Park Eun Bin, who debuted as a child actress, before building up her career through a variety of different roles. However, it was not until the hit drama series “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” that the actress finally became a household name with huge popularity.

After starring in this series, Park Eun Bin has been offered double the pay for advertisement deals, and this number is predicted to rise even further as “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” continues to run its course.

It is undeniable that the impressive acting performance of Park Eun Bin has contributed greatly to the success of the K-drama. However, according to the actress herself, she initially rejected the role, as she felt she was lacking.

I actually was offered to star in ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’ around the same time as ‘The King’s Affection’. At the time, I found it to be an extremely attractive work. However, I was worried that I was not capable enough to portray such a challenging role, and so I hesitated for a while, and even rejected the offer multiple times,” Park Eun Bin shared.

However, the actress also revealed that she was moved by the production crew’s resilience, saying: “Luckily, the director and screenwriter decided to wait for me. I felt their trust and decided to repay them. Therefore, I gathered my guts and accepted the offer.”

Another new source also revealed that director Yoo In Sik and screenwriter Moon Ji Wo waited for over a year to recruit Park Eun Bin for the leading role, and time has proven this decision to be the correct one. With Park Eun Bin’s natural acting and other factors, “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” has defeated all odds and become a “dark horse” K-drama with outstanding ratings and popularity world-wide.
