Park Eun-bin: “I haven’t received any suggestion for ‘Woo Young-woo’ season 2”

Actress Park Eun-bin, who created a “Woo Young-woo Syndrome” inside of outside of Korea, expressed her thoughts on a season 2 of “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”.

On August 26th, Daily Sports released its interview with Park Eun-bin, a key player of ENA’s “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” (hereinafter referred to as “Woo Young-woo”).

In “Woo Young-woo,” which recently ended, Park Eun-bin played the title role of Woo Young-woo, a newbie lawyer with autism spectrum disorder.

Park Eun-bin showed her passion in her role by studying autism spectrum diagnostic standards directly to avoid giving viewers false perceptions. This is also why she didn’t use any characters with autism who have appeared in the media as references.

She improved the perfection of the drama series by paying attention to each of her expressions, speech, and finger movements. However, she revealed that she was afraid when she first received the script.

When asked if she expected Woo Young-woo to become such a syndrome, Park Eun-bin said, “I’m still puzzled. When I saw the script, I knew it would be a good work. But as an actress, I was afraid that it would be a difficult role to play,” she confessed.

Regarding the huge amount of lines she had to do, Park Eun-bin then said, “It took time to get used to. I just think of it as studying for an exam because there were many difficult legal terms that are hard to understand at once. I wrote everything on the A4 paper and memorized it as a whole as I wanted.”

As much as she did her best, the existence of the work “Woo Young-woo” is very special to Park Eun-bin.

Park Eun-bin said, “I did my best. That’s why I shed tears after a long time while saying my closing remarks. I was happy, and I felt a lot of sincerity when I worked together with such good people to create such a good series.”

She said, “I did my best, so I don’t want to go back even if someone tells me to. I don’t want to be dissatisfied as much as I did my best, even if it’s not proportional to my satisfaction,” she added.

Was it because she had burned all her passion while filming “Woo Young-woo”? Park Eun-bin expressed a slightly different stance from other actors, who mostly responded positively to season 2.

Park Eun-bin said she had never received any official proposal (for season 2). “As much as the love you receive, others’ expectations will increase as well. I don’t think I can be sure whether I will be able to show anything beyond that,” she said with a smile.

She hoped that, like Woo Young-woo who was proud of becoming an official lawyer of Hanbada in the ending scene of the last episode of “Woo Young-woo,” everyone could say goodbye to the work proudly.

At the end of the interview, Park Eun-bin said, “I thought it would be nice if everyone could put and keep the image of a proud Young-woo at the end in a treasure box. If you ask me to open that treasure box again, I think I will need a much greater resolution than when I first decided to face Young-woo,” she shared.
