Park Bo Gum’s agency refuted news of the actor’s new project with IU
On August 26th, an official from IU’s agency, Edam Entertainment, told media site Star News: “IU has received an offer to appear in writer Im Sang Chun’s next drama and is considering it.”
Meanwhile, actor Park Bo Gum, who was mentioned as IU’s upcoming co-star, gave a contrasting response. In particular, Park Bo Gum’s agency, Blossom Entertainment, told Star News on the same day: “It’s groundless. There has been no discussion regarding the reported work.”
It was previously reported that IU and Park Bo Gum will appear together in the new K-drama from screenwriter Im Sang Chun, who is behind the success of “Becky’s Back”, “Fight For My Way”, and “When The Camellia Blooms”. His most recent work, “When The Camellia Blooms”, achieved a peak viewership of 23.8% and gathered a lot of attention.
If IU decide to accept the offer, this new work will become her first K-drama after 3 years. Her latest acting project was critically-acclaimed movie “Broker”, which was released in June, and her latest K-drama was the 2019 series “Hotel Del Luna”.
Meanwhile, Park Bo Gum will appear on the TV entertainment program “Youth MT” on September 9th after being discharged from the military in April.
