IU, whose last K-drama is 3 years ago, will work with Park Bo Gum in her next work?

IU and Park Bo Gum have been selected as main characters of an upcoming K-drama

According to Ten Asia on August 26th, Park Bo-gum and IU have been selected as the lead characters in the next drama project by Im Sang Chun, who wrote KBS’ ‘When the Camellia Blooms’. This is Park Bo-gum’s first return since his discharge from the Navy on April 30 and IU’s first return to the small screen 3 years after the 2019 tvN series “Hotel Del Luna”. 

Screenwriter Im Sang Chun is known for various popular works like “Becky’s Back”, “Fight For My Way”, and most recently, “When The Camellia Blooms”. In particular, “When The Camellia Blooms” recorded a highest viewership rating of 23.8% when it aired in 2019.

Currently, Im Sang Chun is preparing a new work with director Kim Won Seok, who created “Misaeng”, “Signal” and “My Mister”.  This will be IU’s 2nd time working with the director, after starring in “My Mister” in 2018.

IU made her acting debut in 2011, playing the role of Kim Pil Sook in hit KBS2 drama “Dream High”. After this, she gained great popularity in the acting realm with various series, like “You Are The Best”, “Bel Ami”, “The Producers”, “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo”, “My Mister”, and “Hotel del Luna”.
