OMEGA X members revealed the full extent of the abuse they suffered under their agency
Members of boy group OMEGA X, who claimed to have suffered abuse from the CEO of their company, said they can no longer be with the agency.
According to the members, they have complained of receiving psychological damage from CEO Kang several times, but the company refused to acknowledge it and condoned the CEO’s behavior.
On October 22nd, after concluding their Los Angeles concert, the last performance of their America tour, OMEGA X members heard abusive comments from CEO Kang, such as, “I treated you humanely, but I changed my original intention.”
CEO Kang was reportedly angry that day since the members did not sincerely read the thank-you note written on the prompter of their LA concert, and did not express their gratitude to the CEO and the company.
On the same day, CEO Kang grabbed member Jaehan, who was showing symptoms of panic, by his collar in the hotel lobby and knocked him down to the floor.
When a video of the scene was reported through a tip from fans who witnessed the scene, CEO Kang instead shifted the blame to the members.
Then, not only did CEO Kang and her company cancel all of OMEGA X’s flight tickets to Korea, they also made a fuss by knocking on the doors of Jaehan and other members until the dawn of the next day, and did not stop until they were stopped by local police.

Chairman Hwang, the co-representative of the agency, said, “I know that CEO Kang’s actions are wrong.” However, he also pressured OMEGA X members by stating, “I can’t tolerate the group’s actions. When they come to Korea, there will be a bloodstorm.”
On the other hand, OMEGA X member revealed that CEO Kang’s abuse didn’t just happen during the overseas tour.”
One member confided, “Even when it was not practice time, CEO Kang called at dawn and talked for an hour or two. She would continue to send KakaoTalk messages and if we did not respond to them, she became very angry. This made our panic symptoms worse. “
Then, when the manager avoided contact with Kang on behalf of the members, Kang ranted to the members and the manager, “Get off the plane you were on right away”.
In addition, it was confirmed that Omega X’s agency forced the members to go on stage while hiding the fact that they were infected with COVID-19 during their overseas tour.
Chairman Kang and Chairman Hwang confirmed that four members suffered from high fever and tested positive for COVID-19 through self-diagnosis kits on September 28th, but they hid the fact and forced them to continue going on tour the next day, saying, “Arm yourself with mental strength.”
Two members infected with COVID-19 rehearsed for the performance, but it is known that they did not go on stage due to high fever. At that time, in the country where the concert was held, there was a guideline for 7 days of self-quarantine.
Moreover, four OmegaX members are known to be receiving psychiatric treatment for panic, anxiety, and insomnia.
Regarding the situation, an official from Spire Entertainment told SBS Entertainment News reporters, “The company has officially apologized, and the representative in question has resigned with responsibility.There was no problem anymore.”
However, the same official did not respond to allegations that they forced members to cover up their COVID-19 infections while conducting an overseas tour.
Meanwhile, on November 10th, Spire Entertainment sent the 11 members of OMEGA X an invoice with an outstanding balance of 300 to 400 million won per person.
