“Our Blues” Choi Young-joon, “The scene where the head of the fan falls off as soon as Ho-sik hears his daughter’s pregnancy confession was directed with intention”

Actor Choi Young-joon mentioned the scene of the fan in “Our Blues” which once became a hot topic.

MBC FM4U’s “Date at 2 o’clock. We’re Muzie – Ahn Young-mi”, which aired on June 21st, featured actor Choi Young-joon, who appeared in the drama “Our Blues” as Bang Ho-sik, a single father who raises his high schooler daughter Bang Young-joo alone.

DJ Ahn Young-mi said, “In ‘Our Blues’, there is a scene where the head of the fan fell off when you got frustrated after hearing your daughter’s pregnancy confession. Was it the intention of the director?”. Choi Young-joon responded, “It’s a scene in the script. It was intentionally directed.”

Surprised by the answer, Ahn Young-mi exclaimed, “When I watched that scene, I immediately thought ‘Wow, that fan. Nice timing’.” Muzie complimented, “What a detailed scene by writer Noh Hee-kyung”.

Choi Young-joon continued, “Many people praised the acting of that fan. There was actually a note in the script that said ‘Not understanding Ho-sik’s feeling, the head of the fan falls off’. We made that fan do the acting”. His explanation of Noh Hee-kyung’s detailed script surprised everyone once again. 

Meanwhile, Choi Young-joon is strengthening his position as an actor by starring in many hit series in a row, including tvN’s 2020 drama “Hospital Playlist”, 2021 drama “Hospital Playlist 2”, 2021 drama “Vincenzo”, and 2022 drama “Our Blues”. In particular, he presented impressive acting and aroused deep sympathy by playing Bang Ho-sik, a single father who raises his daughter alone.
