“Now, We Are Breaking Up” ended with a vague ending…
The last episode of “Now, We Are Breaking Up” began with the scene when Young Eun (Song Hye Kyo) decided to quit her job. She now wants to pursue the goals and ambitions that she once wanted to achieve but didn’t have enough courage to do so.
Among the 3 best friends, Chi Sook is the only person to see a happy ending. She has become closer to Do Hoon and the two confidently share many romantic moments. After Mi Sook passed away, her husband has lived a life full of regrets. He was even more heartbroken after finding out the items that his wife prepared for him and their daughter.
Chi Sook, the remaining member of The One, and Young Eun have all begun their new life with new projects and creative ideas. Young Eun sometimes goes to Jae Guk (Jang Ki Yong)’s camera store and recalls memories of when they were together. Even when designing new clothes, Young Eun still thinks of Jae Guk, who once gave her lots of inspiration.
After attending a party with a former colleague and receiving a gift from Chi Sook, Young Eun officially leaves to fulfill her dream. Meanwhile, Jae Guk is also living alone, doing what he likes and missing Young Eun.
At the end of the drama, everyone has their own life, happy with their own choices. Young Eun and Jae Guk, in particular, are reunited by chance after a time of separation. The final scene is when they meet again and smile happily, and the drama ends.
