NewJeans’ Fanclub Bunnies Issues Official Statement Asking HYBE To Maintain ADOR’s Current System

NewJeans’ fandom Bunnies opposed the dismissal of ADOR's board members.

Bunnies issued a statement on May 30th, saying, “We hope that the current system of ADOR, led by CEO Min Hee-jin, will remain stable, and that parent company HYBE will also provide maximum support, including an emotionally stable environment, for NewJeans‘ activities.”

“One of the reasons for the current situation is that CEO Min Hee-jin and NewJean’s members did not gain emotional stability from HYBE,” it said. “We hope HYBE can fulfill their responsibilities to CEO Min Hee-jin and NewJeans members as a parent company so that they can continue to grow with stability and solve internal problems without exposing them to the outside world.”

“As fans of music and NewJeans, we cannot just see the current New Jeans losing its beautiful light and losing its growth in frustration,” it said. “If HYBE abuses its major shareholder’s status to abandon the promise of good faith and abandon the artist and CEO Min Hee-jin, who raised the artist, we will also fight back with our power.”

At the same time, Bunnies said, “NewJeans’ fandom Bunnies will keep an eye on if HYBE clearly understands the court’s decision in the future and strives for necessary support instead of unnecessary disputes.”

Meanwhile, the Seoul Central District Court ruled in favor Min Hee-jin’s request for a provisional injunction against HYBE. As a result, HYBE is not expected to be able to exercise its voting rights in the dismissal of CEO Min Hee-jin at ADOR’s extraordinary shareholders’ meeting on May 31st. CEO Min Hee-jin will be able to maintain her position as the CEO of ADOR. Previously, 10,000 Bunnies members filed a petition with the court against Min Hee-jin’s dismissal.

The Bunnies representative who issued this statement told Sports Kyunghyang, “We’re committed to continually monitoring and ensuring a stable environment for NewJeans and Min Hee-jin’s activities. We also plan to use our power as shareholders of HYBE when necessary, exploring all available options.”

They added, “We’re working closely with various stakeholders to protect NewJeans, strategizing and receiving support from a diverse range of individuals, including legal experts, company professionals, and professors.”

They went on to say, “Our initial statement was a warning about potential evasion tactics from HYBE,” and emphasized, “We’re eager for a prompt resolution and urge both parties to come to an agreement.”
