LE SSERAFIM’s concept in their new debut trailer makes some netizens think of LOONA.
At midnight KST on April 18, HYBE Labels officially dropped the debut trailer titled “FEARLESS TRAILER ‘The World Is My Oyster’” for upcoming rookie girl group LE SSERAFIM. As soon as it was released, the trailer received mixed reactions.
In the 3 minutes and 2 seconds long video, LE SSERAFIM members show off their alluring visuals. The dark and mysterious yet elegant and powerful concept has especially grabbed the attention. The well-shot scenes with the fast-paced background music keep viewers on the edge of their seats. What makes the trailer unique is the ghostly and intimidating vibes it radiates. Many fans say it feels like they are watching a horror movie.
Aside from positive reactions, some netizens also notice that LE SSERAFIM’s image and concept in the trailer feels similar to that of LOONA. They also found the similarities in camera angles, main colors and messages between these two girl groups.
Specifically, in the trailer, there is a scene where Kazuha performs beautiful ballet swings, which is similar to the ballet scenes in LOONA’s “To all LOONAS around the world” teaser. Moreover, Sakura‘s voiceover also reminds netizens of LOONA’s video.
In addition, the background music in LE SSERAFIM’s debut trailer sounds surprisingly similar to LOONA’s Why Not?. The scene with the car followed by LE SSERAFIM members dancing in the middle of the video also resembles LOONA.
