Netflix unveils lineup for the second half of 2023: “D.P 2”, “Doona!”, “Sweet Home 2” and more
Netflix introduced a list of Korean dramas to be released in the second half of 2023.
On June 18th, Netflix Korea’s official Youtube channel released a trailer for ‘Tudum K-Content Second Half of 2023’. The released video shows short previews of Netflix’s original series to premiere later this year.
The list named a total of 11 works, including “Gyeongseong Creature”, “D.P. 2”, “Doona!”, “Mask Girl”, “Song of the Bandits”, “Celebrity, “Sweet Home 2”, “Believer 2”, “Daily Dose of Sunshine”, “Ballerina”, and “A Time Called You”.
Starring Han So Hee and Park Seo Joon, “Gyeongseong Creature” is a creature thriller set in the Spring of 1945, the darkest era, that centers around two young people who confront a monster born of greed to survive.
“D.P. 2” continues the story of military deserter police Jun Ho (Jung Hae In) and Ho Yeol (Koo Kyo Hwan) chasing people with various stories and discovering the reality they did not know.
“Sweet Home 2” is about Hyun Soo (Song Kang), who lost his family in an accident, overcoming a crisis in which humans turn into monsters together with residents in the same apartment.
“Daily Dose of Sunshine” is a human drama about the world that nurse Da Eun (Park Bo Young) meets after getting transferred to the Department of Psychiatry and the stories of the patients.
“Doona!” is a romantic comedy that begins when Lee Doo Na (Suzy), an idol who retires due to some personal reasons, and ordinary college student Lee Won Joon (Yang Se Jong) live in a share house.
Set in the lawless land of Gangdo in the 1920s, “Song of the Bandits” is a drama in which Japanese soldiers, independence fighters, gangsters, bandits, and Korean immigrants who have lost their homes and livelihoods point guns at each other for different purposes. It stars Kim Nam Gil, Seo Hyun, Yoo Jae Myung, etc.
Starring Jeon Jong Seo and Kim Ji Hoon, “Ballerina” introduces the beautiful and ruthless revenge carried out by former bodyguard Ok Ju for her most precious friend, Min Hee.
Believer 2″ is a sequel to the 2018 film “Believer” and it tells the story of Detective Jo Won Ho (Cho Jin Woong) digging into the largest drug organization in Asia.
“Mask Girl” is a thriller that takes place when Kim Mo Mi (Go Hyun Jung/ Nana), who has a complex about her appearance, gets involved in an unexpected incident while working as an Internet broadcasting BJ every night.
“Celebrity” depicts the glamorous yet fierce reality of female celebrities who jump into the world where fame brings wealth.
“A Time Called You” is a time-slip romance that portrays the story that begins when Jun Hee, who misses her boyfriend who passed away a year ago, returns to 1998 as if it were destiny and meets Si Heon, who looks exactly like her boyfriend. The drama features Ahn Hyo Seop, Jeon Yo Bin, and Kang Hoon as the main cast.
